About Me

I am lucky enough to have studied at Cambridge University twice - an MEng in Manufacturing Engineering and a postgraduate MBA in Strategy and Finance. 

At Cambridge, we don't have tutorials. WeCallThemSupervisions.

What I learnt in my supervisions was that raw talent was simply not enough - it is the blood, sweat and tears that makes the good brilliant, and the best better. I will tutor you to make sure that your efforts are translated into a real, powerful understanding of mathematics - no short-cuts, quick-fixes or tricks.

I am not like most tutors. 

How am I different?

Up-to-date, professional knowledge

Unlike most tutors, I teach maths every day at a secondary school in Melbourne. 

Unlike most tutors, I am a qualified maths teacher: PGCE (Secondary Maths), MA (Educational Leadership), with experience in a range of schools, including Trinity Grammar School, Kew. 

A personalised focus on understanding

Unlike most tutors, I will not just help you with homework. Instead I will help you understand the maths behind the questions, so that you can answer them well.

Unlike most tutors, I will not 'work ahead' in the textbook. That is easy to do, and offers little help to your understanding of the subject. Instead, we will ensure you fully understand the content.

Ethics

Unlike most tutors, I will only accept you if you are putting in effort every week outside of tutoring sessions.

Unlike most tutors, I am registered as a sole trader and pay my taxes.
